Milestone@Leigh students give tag rugby a ‘try’!

Students partaking in LAT tag rugby tournament in a grass field

On Tuesday 15th October LAT hosted a tag rugby event at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School (SJWMS) in Rochester. We assembled an enthusiastic team of students from Milestone@Leigh to represent our school, which they did impeccably and showed outstanding determination and teamwork skills throughout the fun event. All our students enjoyed competing against the other Trust schools, learning new skills and making new friends.

Tag rugby is a fantastic introduction to rugby, requiring good catching and passing skills, fast legs, communication and indomitable team spirit. Our Milestone team was outstanding, taking on the challenge with enthusiasm. Fair play and respect were demonstrated throughout by all of the competing schools, as we enjoyed multiple games that were organised and officiated impressively by the young rugby leaders from SJWMS.

It was a great day of sport. Well done to all students who took part!
